Getting started

A quick orientation to BetterLearn’s dashboard and navigation.

  • Sign in and open the dashboard from the sidebar.
  • Use AI Tools for educator workflows and Student Hub for learner workflows.
  • AI Assistant lives in the sidebar and supports chat + history.
  • Use Help & Support for troubleshooting and contacting support.
AI Tools

Use educator tools to generate content, drafts, and classroom materials.

  • Browse tools by category and search by keyword.
  • Open a tool, provide inputs, and generate outputs.
  • Export results (PDF/TXT) and review Generation History.
  • Save useful outputs to your library where applicable.
Student Hub & Study Rooms

Give students a focused set of tools and resources in dedicated rooms.

  • Create a Study Room, assign Student Tools, and add students by email.
  • Students must sign in with the invited email to access the room.
  • Invite links can auto-enroll students and land them directly in the room.
  • Use Learning Resources as a curated space for student materials.
Resource Hub

Download templates, examples, and curated resources to support learning.

  • Browse resources and open details in a new tab.
  • Admins can manage Resource Hub items from the Admin panel.
  • Filter by category and search by keyword.
Contact Support
AI Assistant

Chat with BetterLearn’s assistant with saved conversation history.

  • Use quick actions to start common workflows.
  • Chat history is saved and can be revisited from within the assistant.
  • If the UI looks large on smaller screens, it scales down responsively.
Credits & Billing

Purchase credits and manage billing from your dashboard.

  • Open Credits & Billing to buy a package or choose a custom credit amount.
  • Each generation consumes credits based on the tool’s configured cost.
  • If purchases work locally but fail on live, confirm Stripe keys + app URL env vars.
Help & Support

Contact support and resolve common issues quickly.

  • For product help, use the documentation and feature guides above.
  • For account or billing issues, contact support and include screenshots + steps to reproduce.
  • If something is broken only on live (not localhost), it’s usually environment variables or missing configuration.
Troubleshooting tips

Quick checks that solve most issues.

  • Purchases fail on live but work locally: verify production env vars (`STRIPE_SECRET_KEY`, `NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_URL`) and that Stripe Price IDs match Live/Test mode.
  • Can’t access a Study Room: confirm you’re signed in with the invited email address.
  • UI not updating: refresh the page and ensure the tab is active (some real-time updates refresh on focus).
